Vive La France & Christmas in July!

Aaron's Books will host two
author appearances in July.

On July 13th from 1-3 pm, join author and former French Resistance member Paulette Magiolo. She came to America after WWII as a French war bride married to an American officer. She spent 30 years teaching in public & private schools in New Jersey and in Virginia. Dr. Maggiolo's newest book is timely and poetic. The Terrorist Trap features Amrah Musenu, a Muslim beauty, who works as an officer at a rural Tennessee militray school and is unwittingly used by U.S. Intelligence to unravel an espionage plot seeded at the school. Dr. Maggiolo will speak of her life during and after the war, as well as writing and teaching. Copies of this book and her previous title: The Guilty Teacher will be available for sale ($16.95 each).

Christmas will be coming to Aaron's Books on July 27th, in the form of the debut novel by former Lititz resident Pam Chellemi-Yegar. She will be at Aaron's to read from and sign THE FIRST DAY OF CHRISTMAS. This fast-paced mystery features the story of former homicide detective Mick Christmas. Two years ago fourteen-year-old Faith McKay was found dead of an overdose, an enigmatic tattoo etched on her breast.  Although her death was ruled an accident, Mick Christmas, the former homicide detective who worked the case, believes otherwise.  Mick wants nothing more than to work on his dairy farm, but the past won't let him. Carly McKay, Faith's mother, a woman Mick has never forgotten, is being stalked and harassed.  At the same time, a local debutant ends up missing, involved with the same New Age cult linked to Faith's death. Soon Mick is embroiled in a series of escalating events, trying to keep one step ahead of the killer now threatening both women. (The short story  from which this novel sprung appeared in Dark Region's Year's Best Fantastic Fiction, Volume 5, and received an Honorable Mention in St. Martin's Year's Best Fantasy & Horror, Vol. VII). Pamela Chillemi-Yeager holds a Master's in Social Work from Temple University. After fifteen years in the field of human services, she now devotes her time to writing about the human experience.  Her fiction has appeared in numerous independent press magazines, including: Terminal Fright, Deathrealm, After Hours and Daughters of Nyx, edited by acclaimed fantasy writer Kim Antieau, as well as the Bram Stoker nominated CD "Personal Demons." She received an Honorable Mention in St. Martin's Press World's Best Fantasy & Horror, Volume VIII. After residing for twenty years in the heart of PA Dutch Country, Pam and her family recently relocated to beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina. The family's  Sheltie, Frasier, continues to run in circles at the sound of motorcycles.
